2018 Competition. Fail or Success?

The excitment our team felt about our robot this year was over the top. We loved the design, the programming was on point and the team felt as though we worked really well together this year. We were excited for our competition in Boise and felt we were going to do well. Did we? Yes, we did. Our robot broke pretty badly during the practice rounds on Thursday. We had a faulty part that that disapointed us. After several hours of trying to fix it including one of our sponsors meeting us in the hotel parking lot we were able to get it functional for qualifying rounds but still had issues with it throughout the competition. Early on it was decided that this would be a perfect opportunity for our rookie team members to actually drive the robot during actual competion. By trading off the drive team anyone who watned to be on the field got to be on the field. The disapointed may have been in our robot part but, we couldn't be prouder of our team and how we handled it. We learned so much and didn't go home angry, or upset. We came home stronger and more bonded.
